Stolen Columns

What are stolen columns? They're columns of mine that you quite likely have read, hopefully enjoyed, and quite possibly passed on to friends. The problem is that no one bothered to tell you that they were mine.

This is extremely easy on the Internet. You read something you like, you copy and paste it into an email, and send it to everyone you know. Good people do this all the time. Thoughtless people don't bother to say where they got the article or who originally wrote it.

To my knowledge, four of my columns entered the vast culture of anonymous Internet folk humor. They've taken on a life of their own, and keep cropping up all over the place (my father recently sent one to me). Three of them even appeared in a book of anonymous humor found on the web (the book tanked, ruining my hopes of a lucrative lawsuit).

With this page, I reclaim these columns as mine.
